ok, so the door will work, does that mean i should be able to use the window guts from the waggy in my passenger door? the waggy has electric windows and the j-10 has manual.

The doors are the same part. I am putting a door from a J10 into my chero. Using my guts and upper frame assembly.

Have made the swap. Everything interchanges just fine.
Dont know if this matters, nbut I grabbed the door panels off an 80s or 90s GW and the panels were a little (like 2") taller than the stock ones for my J4000. I just had to cut a smidge off the top.
I also had the doors apart getting the internals and glass out of the GWs doors and everyhthing looked EXACTLY the same.

Mmmmm.... I've noticed one difference between early rigs and 'later' rigs... The door glass on the early rigs is almost 1/8" thicker than the later rigs. I swaped some glass from a 72 Wag into my 79 last summer, it's a challenge to make the window move! Darn you! Now you reminded me I should be swapping that window! :D

HMMM shaknbake, I went the other way (later to early) with my swap so I didn't notice anything. You may be right though. ;)
