alright, I've finally figured out why I leak gas when I fill up to fast, the filler neck is cracking and rotting at the bottom gooseneck turn. I've already check Kragen, NAPA and Pepboys, and nobody has anything close. Any suggestions on where to go? Am I going to have to go to the stealership? Thanks

the metal filler neck I can get one for you this weekend. You need a 77 waggy not a J Truck?
Paul.

if yu are talking about the rubber part, no one has it.
take it to a good muffler shop and show them the rubber part.... you need a pipe of 1.75" OD and make it a little shorter to add the rubber hose at 1.75 ID (a good part store should have them or a truck part store)
the 95 or 100 degrees angle is a little off to the side... but it is working
Ideally you should get the vent hose 0.75 ID, that is prolly ready to crack as well
Michel
It works, it happened to me a month ago.... about 10 gallons of gas went down the road.... it decided to leak after i parked.... nose up!

Matty,
do you know if the J Truck and the Waggy are the same? If so I need not go anywhere. I'm just in the middle of swapping out tanks so I won't need it.

THe filler on my '74 J10 is certainly different than my wag and cherokee! I too went throught this a couple years ago with my J10. Muffler shop, $20 and some new hose to connect it and I was done.
Get this I do a J4000 to part with a good hose about 3 months later  , before you ask I sold the hose already.
Good luck,
P.J.
