TIRE SIZE

WHAT IS THE LARGEST TIRE SIZE I CAN FIT ON A 1980 J20 THATS STRICKLY STOCK WITH ORIGINAL RIMS???

I ran 33's on my 78 Chero WT with no rubbing at all. The stock rims where 8 inchers and the tire width was 12.5. I believe your truck runs the same flares as the WT and may have the same width rims.

RIMS ARE 9.50X16.50 ??

i have 33x12.50s on my 82 j20. they are on what i assumed to be the original rims,tho i guess im not 100% sure of that.no rubbing whatsoever,tho,even with 1000+lbs of junk in the back http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/smile.gif
