Courtesy lamps

Hey there,

Anyone have a wiring diagram or an idea as to how those courtesy lamps in my 85 Grand Wag are supposed to be wired?

Basically the police who owned it before apparently added a third dome lamp, right up front. There is one amidships smile.gif , and the remnants of one in the rear. The rear one has been broken right in half. Part just hangs there by what appears to be a ground wire, and the rest is hanging by other wires.

The middle one is the one that seems to be in the best shape-- bulb works... I'm not good with a multimeter so I'm really not sure if there's power there or not. Can the light system function with just one of the lights wired up properly? Or do they all have to be in?

Does the middle light come on when you open the doors or rotate the light switch?Does your center light have 2 smaller(map) lights to either side of the dome light?If they work then you have power to the light.You said the back light is broken in half is the switch broken also?I have wiring diagrams but I have a sick scanner.
