It looks like Holley is doing most of the modifications at the factory that off roaders do at home. So you can buy a factory off road carb instead of building one. I don't know anybody that has one yet, but they look like a good thing.

Tha Avenger is a carb and Projection is Holley's type of fuel injection. Which one are you asking about?

You can buy an off the shelf Holley, brand new, with most of the mods intact, that the "Truck Avenger" comes with, and install the rest for less money.

The Holley (p/n 0-80457S) we would most likely want is for mild performance, with vacuum secondaries, and an electric choke, price about $242. The Truck Avenger is just over $100 more than that, with the addition of connected slosh tubes, and off-road needles and seats.

You can do the connected slosh tubes, using fuel grade hose, and the needles and seats are nowhere near $100!!

The Projection is a 670 CFM "2 bbl" system that is a combination of analog and digital. Works very well, at "most" angles (I'm not sure about upside down), and offers about the best in drivability you're going to get in an FSJ. It's major drawback is the cost. You'll most likely never get it back in gas savings, but the throttle response is second to none, as well as the ease of start up, and most "carburetor" related issues.

would you have to run a howell wiring harness or a computer with a pro jection?
