Thanks for help on the gear ratio guys. Ill get the 33's. I've got stock suspension, and just want enough lift to clear the 33's. Mainly a highway truck but off-road more and more. Would like a softer ride.

Well, to run the 33's, you shouldn't need a lift. But if you want the softer ride, I guess you could order some spring packs with a high number of leaves. If you get a lift, I think the Skyjacker softride 4" is supposed to be pretty sweet, but I am at stock height with my 33's and I really don't expect a lift for a while. With the lift, 35's should fit fine as long as you watch the width. Good luck.

A lot of the guys here run the 4" lift from Skyjacker. There is also a 4" lift from Rusty's Off road (www.rustysoffroad.com). The lifts are designed almost identically. The Rusty's Off Road kit is way cheaper and comes with shocks and brake line extensions. You could also just put a 2 or 3 inch body lift. I personaly like a suspension lift as an option versus the body lift. this is just my 2 cents.

My 2 cents.. There are two 3" lifts avail. one from Rough Country, www.rockymountainsusp.com (http://www.rockymountainsusp.com) around $540.00 through them, comes with shocks. or BDS (Big Dicks Suspension) I am not sure of their price. Both kits have threads on this site for install.. A 2 inch body lift will also do the trick.. around $85.00 if you do it yourself.

with 33's and a 4" skyjacker...I still needed a 3" body lift to stop the rubbing.......hhmm those j10's must be different than the Cherokee...??

Yep,

The J-trucks have way more clearance. They came stock with a 32" tire. Of course it was bias ply and not as wide as the 33"x12.5"s we wanna put on, BUT they do fit. How well hey will fit is dependant on the springs. Saggy springs may mean no 33's :( But Anyway, I think I'd try out a set of 33's, preferably 33x9.5, or try to fit a riends on. I think they'll go on fine. I have never run my truck any where under severe articulation, but I have no fear of rubbing, at least when I look undeneath and guestimate travel. If you are definitely getting 33's, buy em mount em and check them out. Then decide if the lift is in order. Mayb start a thread called J-truck tire size lift check. Later,

Daniel
