Hey gang!

I may need professional help because I haven't even picked up the truck yet and already I have spent money on upgrade parts....Help!

Ok, 83 G/W. how hard is to take off all the air polution garb?

What do I gain?

What are the draw backs?

I also want to do an upgrade on intake, carb and 3" Exhaust. Any reccomendations?

Also anyone know of a good dr. that can help this madness??

I used the Edelbrock Peformer intake and carb setup as far as the pump and tubeing just use screw in plugs on the stock manifolds. you will gain some extra power from removing everything and going with the bigger exhaust. If you want to get real freaky with the exhaust look at my pics at site below.

Scotteac, I have to say you have the best looking GW on here. I wish I could do that to my engine, but I'm in California and we all know how fun smog requirements are out here.

The Edelbrock Carb and manifold seems to be the most popular mod done. A TFI ignition and headers help also but you really need to be creative to run duel exaust. Dont Expect to do wheelstands when your done but removing the smog pump,EGR,and related parts does help some, probably more of a weight savings than a big HP boost. :D
