who has built one, and got any pix?
This last outing I destroyed my tranny mont wich caused the linkage to fail and then lost all gears. not a big deal but sux at night 25 miles from anywhere. Well we just ratchet straped it to cross member and were able to drive it out but slowly and as smooth as possible. So I think it is time to make a Heavy Duty mount.:fsj:
Pat,
What part did you break?
The rubber or that odd looking setup of steel that holds it all in place?
I think there is a poly replacement for the rubber mount and I've fixed enough of those metal configurations to know they can sure use some help.

that odd looking metal trap.. wow what a POS. I think I will make a whole new mount with poly and tubing and some 3/8 box steel cut in half. well see what happens.

If you can, build something that takes the universal GM poly tranny mount made by Energy. You can pick them up at any Autozone and they are bombproof. I had them in the buggy for 5 years and just recently pulled them out, they still looked fine. You may have to make an adapter plate but it's worth looking into.

the gm mounts are the same as the ones we run now...... you can also pick them up at advance for around $10
