Up in my neck of the woods there is an OHV park named walker valley. It is roughly 100 miles north of Seattle. :fsj:

From the Longview area your best "legal" area would probably be Tillamook State Forest, Browns Camp. Check out www.pnw4wda.org (http://www.pnw4wda.org) and the forum there under Oregon trails and also Washington trails. Couple of 4x4 clubs in your area that might know of areas for you as well. Look under about us-clubs-region 3 on the main page there.

I second Brown's Camp. It's reasonably close, there are a lot of trails (assuming they're all open), plenty of campsites and a decent variety of terrain. It can be pretty crowded though which can be a plus if you're alone. Oh, if you don't already have one, get an off-road permit.

The state OHV permit is $10.50 for 2 years. If you have the equivilant WA sticker you are good to go. We honor WA OHV stickers here.
