Steering wheel reccomendations for '73 J truck

I want to swap the steering wheel with something smaller with a thicker grip. Any success stories out there?

Also, the steering shaft rattles around in the column at the bottom near the u joint. Anywhere I can get a new bearing? Are they just like CJ shafts from similar years?

Sorry, CJ shafts are different.

If it's the u-joing, new ones can be installed. If it's the bearing, take it to Napa, they can usually do that kind of stuff if they have it in hand. If they don't pan out check a local machine shop. they can probably press new bearings for you.

As for steering wheels, it should be a standard diameter so you could theoretically just get an aftermarket unit and slap in on, though I don't know of the discussion comming up before.
