What part of the parking BRAKE are you trying to remove???

The pedal assembly?

The equalizer cable?

The actual parking brake on the wheel?

On the ones I've pulled, I pull the 1 bolt and 2 nuts and it rolls down and out. The cable was the hardest part to get out, and that wasnt hard at all.

IIRC, you have to loosen the cable (take out the slack) and use pliers (needlenose helps) to pull the cable up and fish it out of the pedal assembly.

I have the assembly off a truck, I'll try to remember to get you good pics in the morning.

Thanks. All I needed to do was clean it up a little and check the wiring behind it and no I'm going to have to re thread the bolts.

If you have a welder and a die grinder, it might be easier to cut the old ones out and weld new bolts into the bracket. GL.

Well I don't know how to weld but I'm real good with an angle grinder and I have some JB weld.

There is a clip on the other side that comes off (see pic #2) and the nut thingy doesnt come off. Just pull the clip off and the cable out through the slot and it will come down out of the hole.

Problem solved! There are 4 places that hold it, not 3.

Yeah I meant to reply to this like 5 hours ago. I pulled the brake pedal assembly off the 65 and remembered the 4th bolt hidden away. You can barely see the thing up there.

I didn't see it, I felt it. i shoved my hand up through the wiring to look for a nut or something and sure enough, there it was.
