Hi I just want to say hallo for all FSJ owners in US. I just bought 1980 Cherokee and I`m about to bring it back on the streets. Its not easy to restore it specially in a country where You can count all FSJ`s on one hands fingers. Lucky me its 95% original... I need front bumper and some other small parts like transmission:) and the rig would be cruising. Few days ago I finally started the engine... works fine... the problem is with the body... it needs some repairs, new paint job, suspension.... and many other things to make it a real big truck.

I got some american cars and I have to say... You are lucky to buy parts and cars in the prices I see on ebay... or even Summit,Rockauto or other sites...

in Poland we have złoty as a currency, and one dollar equals 3.30 złoty`s... now imagine i need to buy some parts in US... thats quite expensive for us here and it makes that not many american cars You can see in the streets and also it makes american cars so exotic here in Poland. I guess we have about 4 FSJ`s in the whole country:) maybe few more but I wouldnt bet:)

so.. heres my car....ready for restoration.. one day after I bought it... a week ago;)

and the price i paid... please dont laugh... in dollars.. about 2.200usd...

now You know how lucky You are:)

I think that is a great buy in Europe for $2,200USD!

Welcome to the fun and good luck getting it on (and off) the road. :)

Yes... i think so too... when You see the prices of Blazers from the same year, and they`re around 5.000usd, the price I paid is nothing... of course there are many Blazers and there are only few FSJ`s:) here in Poland.

Welcome to IFSJA! It looks like you have a solid starting point.

The currency exchange rates can make things expensive. Even with cost of shipping, it is probably less expensive for you to order items from the United States than to buy things from EU countries.

Good luck and we are happy to have you join us.

There are quite a few FSJs in Gotland, Sweden (lots closer than the USA!)

HellO European Fellow.. you can get parts from France or Germany too, and i've seen one or two russian sites offering some parts too for FSJ.. it's also true we already have euro for currency which makes international sales attractive, but most of us work with the lowest cost possible on their rigs. There should be some ways to help each other... ToffAmc is also parting some FSJ that serve only as "organs donnors".. maybe you can contact him too..
