Is it okay to run on the street with the tailgate window down?

I don't know I have'nt tried it with my rig. I'd be affraid it would jump out of the tracks or worse. I guess it would depend on the condition of your rear window sliders and other seals and wipers back there.

better have the other windows down along with it or you will eat a lot of exhaust

I have done it with no bad effects on the window. Just make sure you open the front windows enough to counteract the vacuum created so you don't suck exhaust fumes into the interior.

I drive quite alot with all the windows down....no a/c, but like others have said you better have the fronts down to prevent sucking on CO2...:omfg: There is no noticeable CO2 when all windows are down. I did have a problem when I first purchased my wag. On the 900 mile ride home, the window was down (inoperable) about 2". It was winter and I got light headed several times and had to pull over. jim

With the dust we have and the fact we live 3 miles down dirt road, not that much. Sometimes I'll crack it open to help vent the stinking dog smells in the back out on the highway. If you have the air dam on top in back, you will get less exhaust in the cabin.

..

I keep mine rolled up and put two inch electrical tape all around it to seal it so water can't get in and rust out the tracks and stuff.
