will not shift into 2WD

I went off roading today. I bottomed out one time. I cannot go back into 2wd now. Thinking it might be the vacum hose. I can not find the darn thing. HELP!

If this is on your 88, you might have a seized up Vac Motor, or it is aVac problem. I have had them stick in 4 wheel for miles before they will kick into 2 wheel drive. The Vac motor and lines are on the drivers side, on a bracket just forward of the trans linkages. Very unlikely anything happened to it when you bottomed out. Everything is tucked up well above the frame rails and crossmember.

Mine is stuck in 4WD, because a guy disconnected it from the vac motor. When i put it back on, the noise was bad. Real bad. I just need to get it inside to work on it.
