Well while I was installing my new throttle cable last night I managed to flood the wag so bad it will not start  . What is the best way to dry it out? I figured if I left it overnight it would dry out but it still would not start this morning. Should I just pull the plugs and turn it over a couple of times? Thanks.

Best way to start a flooded vehicle is to hold the throttle WIDE open. Keep it that way while cranking the engine. This allows more air to enter the intake and as long as you DON'T pump the throttle, the engine should start after a little bit of cranking.

It should be plenty dried out by now Bryant.

I did that but it just won't catch. It is flooded pretty bad. I can just smell the gas every time I turn it over.

It should be more than dried out overnight. Stick a rock or something in the carb to hold the choke plate open then press hold the pedal to the floor. You might have a stuck float or a piece of crap under the needle. A couple of good smacks with a screw driver handle on the float bowl might help if it's a stuck float.
Oh no I just told PC to smack it...gsmikie you did take that BF hammer away from him didn't you? :D

Pull your plugs, if they are dripping wet with gas, you have really flooded it. Get a little propane torch, and dry out the plugs. Carefully stick the torch down by each spark plug hole, and burn out the excess fuel in each cylinder. If you don't get a big whoosh out of every cylinder, crank the engine a bit and try again. Make sure you have the fuel line unhooked from the carb, don't want to be adding more fuel while you're cleaning out the cylinders. When done, put the plugs back in, dump a small capful of gas into the carb, rehook the fuel line and fire it up.

This is only if it's extremely flooded.

Well I pulled out the plugs when I got home and they were blacker than my Great Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley Moogley, not that you all needed to know that :D . I cleaned them up, they smelled like gas bad. I put them back in and tried to start it. It finally started after about 2 minutes of cranking. It was idling rough!!! I figured that the adjustments must be off since the throttle was sticking. I get out look in the engine bay and what do I see, I left all the plug wires on the drivers side off   !!! I am surprised that it even started. Well I hooked them back up and it ran pretty good. I took it for a drive and all was good except for when I would punch it it would backfire once and then slowly pick up. Good power otherwise. I will not mess with it until I get to Ouray and get some q-jet help ;) . Thanks.

So how do I fix that? Just turn the mixture screws down or .....

Im pretty sure those mixture screwes only adjust the mixture at idle... I think they are actually called 'idle mixture screws'.

Im no carb genius though so correct me if I'm wrong somebody, but I think that's how it is on the Moto 2150.

Hmmmm...Quadra Suck is what I called the one I had in my 75 Caprice 2 door boat. Speedometer would go one way and the gas gauge would go the other...LOL Not that this has anything to do with your problem but glade you got it running anyway. Amazing what 4 plug wires will do isn't it. :D

I agree with Phil. Sounds rich. Does your throttle cable hook up to an adjustable rod? I mean does the end of the trottle rod have a fan shaped end with holes bored in it? Do you have the new cable in the same hole it came out of, and are you sure the cables are the same length? There must also be a cable hold-down clamp somewhere. Do you have the slack adjusted out of the cable? I don't see how just changing the cable could make it richer except for that?
