Anybody know if a later model speedo ( round style) will fit the cable on my 69 ( integral type)and do you think that the ratio would be the same? I want to eliminate the stock instrument panel.

Does your cluster have the half moon speedo in the center and if so, how does the cluster come out of the dash without the use of a sawzall? I can't find any screws in mine to remove it.

Thanks,

Jeff

Half-moon, yes. It comes out like a bear with hardware at the back side. I had it out once and I don't remember exactly, but I think it was speed nuts or tangs. I'm going to replace it with aluminum dash and round speedo and run smaller gauges/ tach where the glove box is.

The cable will fit into an aftermarket gauge (round style). I am doing this now on my Commando. I can't say how accurate it will be but considering you are running 33s your speedo is probably not really that accurate now. :D The gauge panel is held in by tangs on the backside which have to be pushed in, kind of a pain.
