? How long after initial startup?

How long does it take to get any pressure after initial startup? Will it take a little time for the oil filter to fill? I've got it to fire for a couple of seconds about four or five times with no oil pressure showing on both the factory sender and a new mechanical guage I just installed. :mad:

My S-W mechanical on my 304 would sweep right up to running pressure as soon as the engine fired. Then it would drop back to idle pressure as the engine would drop to idle.

you should pre-lube it if your worried...take a drill and a long screwdriver with the handle wacked off and ...put the blade into the oilpump slot. then run the drill like crazy until you starting getting pressure...turn the engine over a few time by hand to get it fully oiled...now start it. also, did you prime the oil pump before install?
