I saw a picture on here (I think) that showed a J truck with holes drilled in the hood along the back part of the ridge,I wanted to show it to my son but now I can't find it,does anybody know where it is?

What were they for? that might help with the search.
Was it for venting the engine compartment?

Gambler posted some he had done on his Chief to let hot air out. Might want to search by Gambler68.

I don't know if they were done to let heat out,or just for looks,or both.

The one I saw was like this,but only had about 5 holes per side and the holes were all on the back 1/3 or so of the hood.

I would do it that way if I did it again. I actually stuck some heat shielding to cover up the front couple holes..too MUCH air from the fan comes out. but it looks good. :o I also run a shroud and

It certainly helps with getting hot when idling. I left the holey hood on all winter, and with a stock air cleaner housing, had no problems. I run an open KN one for summer. It breathes real good now.
