I would like to change my gears and put a limited slip in the back and maybe in the front, I don't realy do hardcore off roading, and I would like to know if a rear limited slip is good enougf, and should I put one in the *front or is it going to grind on pavement, since I drive mostly in the city. I saw that Reider Racing was seling the kit (f&r ring&pignion, f&r master instalation kit and rear eaton posi) for $705 us. I think it is a good deal? any coments?
after that I will order a 6" lift kit from rusty's
and I heard a lot of bad reputation for custumer service, is there a beter way to order it or does bj's have a complete 6" lift kit? since I live in Montreal, Canada I don't want to pay extra shiping for stupid mistakes, there is one place called national 4wd in ontario that is a distributor for rusty's, maybe I should get it from them? anyway any advice will be apreciated
thanx.
My jeep is a 88 grand wagoneer, 360 v8 amc, edelbrock intake, 750 qjet, hedman headers, 2.5" duals with turbo muflers, dana 44 f&b, automatic trany. *NO LOCKING HUBS*

If you're not getting into anything too serious, I wouldn't even bother with lockers or limited slip units. If you do do one, only do the back. Since you're a full time rig, one up front will screw up daily driving too much. As for the Reider racing deal, sounds pretty good to me. What gear ratio and tires do you want to run? 4.10s and 35" tires?
I have the rusty's kit, it's okay, but stiff. He does have issues with parts, I had some problems. BJs is supposed to be better, not sure if he has a 6" kit though.

will the gears from my 85 wgn work in my 88? the 85 seams to hook up way better than the 88. when i get on it from a stop in the 85 i get both back tires to break loose, but the 88 only one. if the swap will work i think i'd like the off road results as well. the 85 does great but the springs sag way bad. the 88 is good but could be better
