Transmission experts, What about a Clark 280VO

Well here I go again on trannies. I was just about to buy a NV4500 for my wagoneer when this guy contacts me. Says he's got a Clark 280VO that is setup to go in a baby Jeep behind a 360, in front of a D300. The 4500 Dodge should bolt up to my NP208, and there's an adapter for the bellhousing from AA. So I hear the clarks are comparable to the 4500, but I'm wondering if it will bolt up to the 208 and my bellhousing, plus if the shifter will land in the right place. Any info is appreciated.

from what i know, clarks are a five speed, and were THE swap to have before the nv4500 came along, and i think that they are even stronger than the nv. adapters used to be commonplace, you might call advance or novak. if it was set up to run in a cj, then all adapters should be there, probably for a dana 20 case.
