Hey to all out there,

New to the forum, and thought I would introduce myself.

I used to have a '84 Ford Bronco, that got me started in the old rig obsession, she was stolen a few years ago in Scottsdale AZ, after sinking in too much $$. I bought the Bronco originally because I could not find an affordable J-10 or Wagoneer..Ok it's 5 years later,..have looked for a "J-10 ever since", I was searching through CL, for a truck..since I haven't owned a truck since the Bronco was stolen..And there it was the elusive J-10. I got flutters like a little girl-and I'm a guy just to let you know. I drove 30 miles to go see this rig, that the owner didn't want to sell..She was an ugly faded yellow-still is..looks like the "Twister truck." I took this thing for a test drive..oh my..I bought it. Now I have developed an obsession..and probably a money pit..But I love it..I already salvaged a hood I needed from the yard, and a 66 Wagoneer grill-looks tougher I think, salvaged all the 327 Vigilante badges as well, I don't know why..Isn't she pretty?

Here are pics...of the sad shape she is in...the old grill and vs. new...and seats I picked up that will go in later..already started hand sanding getting ready for bondo..I just got this rig, so don't laugh..I had her for a week and a half. I know alot about mechanics, so I'll be saving money while I lose money..I'm a multi-tasker, so I'm doing body, interior, and mechanics all at the same time.

Welcome to the madness! :D
They come well baked from the desert country but at least it appears to be lacking the regular factory rust through feature. Good Luck on the project!

Welcome to the land of empty pockets and unfinished projects...

I'm just North of you in the Prescott area. Is she road worthy? We are doing a fun run from Chino to Jerome a week from today. There are a few guys from your area coming up for the ride.

There is nothing like buying a "new" Jeep! Are those straps across the bed there to hold the sides or are they just for looks?

Is this a daily driver? If not, gut it like a fish and do it right.

Nice looking rig! I like it! (rather I like ALL Honchos! HAHAHA)
Your J10 looks a lot like J10 long bed.
Good look on your project.

BTW...what are your plans for the 'Pig Nosed' grill that you took off?

Great looking truck. Looks like a lot of work, but from what I can tell from the pics, she looks like a real prize, and will respond very well to care and attention.

Well after I get the engine fire settled..I just posted in the tech forum..it will be silver or gun metal grey..Black and grey interior..After this fire, I am highly considering the TBI setup. Thanks for the comments so far

Luckily she isn't a DD, straps were for a salt water aquarium I hauled home,55 gallons of glass.

I will also set up a carputer like i have in my DD, for trails, etc..And an aux fuel cell, +aux fuse box..Definitely a larger trans cooler, and aux fans up front with toggles.

Stupid engine fire and carb:(..No I'm not giving up. Just a set back.

Multi-tasker..but A.D.D maybe, wouldn't want to know..Although I do suffer panic attacks since last year for some reason. After losing my business. Xanax helps:)
