mid 80's waggy gastank into 75 chero

the chero has a side tank also, but it is of course destroyed with rust, the waggy tank is cool poly tank that won't rust, they aren't the same but has anyone done it? If so what did they do?

The 75 tank mounts directly to the frame. The 80+ poly tanks mount to the tank mount/aka skid plate first, then that mount bolts to the frame. Besides mount fabrication snafu's you may have vent line/fill pipe issues. It's doable but not a bolt-in.
