When I told the wife about this, she surprisingly said she wanted to go. We packed up the kids and took off just before 11:30 on Sunday to make the drive. Was good to see some members again (Chris, Larry) and got to meet Greg and Rick at the event. Met Larrys family and picked up a set of SWEET heavy duty rockers from him.

Was a decent turnout of FSJ's there.

Thanks! The big guy is feeling better today. Probably didn't need the ER trip, but better safe than sorry. Never had a soft mushy goose egg on my head before.

They are great, but keep in mind the PO and I spent a lot of time taking care of it and tweaking things. It's quiet and smooth at 80-85 MPH and will run straight down the road, but it took alot of work to get it to the point that I trust it to take road trips with the whole family.

Never had a soft mushy goose egg on my head before.

General rule of thumb is that if the area raises into a bump/knot, that is a good thing (My youngest has clunked his noggin a couple of times). When the area doesn't raise up then there can be lots of problems. At least thats what the Doc told us anyway. With my youngest it seems like if he is gonna get hurt, it seems like its always his forehead. Not sure whats up with that, but it sure seems to happen that way. When in doubt its always best to have it looked at though.

some great pics. that white javelin is awesome. my dad a white rambler wagon like the blue one. but those early javelins are seriously cool.

about that white honcho, you can tell that the decals are repops. look at the fender the decal is supposed to be slightly curved instead of a sharp angle. but it sure is nice.

Geez - I didn't even know this was going on :o - and I was bored and lazy on Sunday. Just did some yard work.

Then just sat around and later went for a drive just to "do" something. Geez.

Sorry I missed this !

Half and half. Original interior (AFAIK), repaint in 2000. Previous owner was meticulous and myself as well. I've spent a great deal of time/money on mechanicals and was fortunate to come into one with a great interior and decent body.

Thanks for all the comments! We had a good time, when I meet a new member at a GTG it feels like I've known them for some time.

Yeah, I wish our family was still in that mode. We used to go at least once a year. But now the kids are grown the ground is hard. Oh well, glad to see some people going out and getting clean air and enjoying each other as a family unit and meeting other new people,:fsj:

Great pics of what looked like an awesome get together. While the white Honcho looked cool, I really dig the Javelins the most.

I noticed that too. They don't extent all the way to the flares.

I think the decals are different, IIRC the lower stripe should come off the word Honcho and curve up and over the rear wheel well.

Rick's white Jav was my favorite, what a sweet ride (not sure what year it is though). Wife busted me last night looking on eBay and online for Jav's, got the bug in me for one!

Man, I'm sorry I missed this! I ended up working on Sunday.

That white Honcho used to belong to a member here - billy1 from Manitou Beach, MI. He sold it a few years ago, but I don't know who owns it now.

The decals were on it when he got it, and he told me that the previous owner had them made by a sign shop from photograph. So they're an "approximation" of the original decals. Not a very good approximation, in my opinion, but then again I may be a little more critical than others when it comes to graphics and decals...:D

Hmm, . . . wondering out loud why THAT could be ??

 ;) :D
