The wonderful self preserving oiling system has begun anew. I believe the rear intake seal has blown out again, just fixed this in jan/feb. What is causing this? 78 304 with non egr intake, motorcrap 2150. I hate to keep tearing into this motor cause sooner or later a bolt is gonna strip or break off or whatever and really be aggravating.
On the brighter side it blew out on the way back from south carolina but I still managed 225 miles on this tank of gas,15.3 gallons of gas round trip = 14.70 miles/gallon 65ish miles per hr 70/30 hwy/city. this while running 35's ,I'm fairly happy, now if I can get the oil leak stopped.

is your pcv plugged? we want the motor to vent properly to keep the crankcase pressure down....are you using the rubber piece or just using silicone?....I have had great luck with silicone...clean REAL well, huge bead of silicone, let sit for a few minutes, install intake, make sure silicone bead has a bulge to it...and the very last important thing....let the vehicle sit at least 24 hours before adding oiling and starting...
