Hey all,
I'm looking for a Carburator for my 90' grand wagoneer. Don't think I have the patients to rebuild mine, so I think I'll just buy one.
Can someone recommend a place where I can buy one?
Do they come new or just rebuilt?

One other question - Once I get the new one how much tuning will it require to get it running good? (never messed with a carburator before so I'm clueless here)

Thanks.

Call the local NAPA store. They have good parts and reasonable prices. As for tuning once it's installed. I had someone else tune mine. Now I can spin 33's. Other mods of cuorse. Good luck.

I just bought a Holley 2 barrel from Auto Zone. $188.00 out the door. I had someone who knows what they are doing, do the fine tuning on it.

So far. So good.

Janie -
I'll check autozone.
Out of the box w/ the new carb on would it start and run, or must it be tuned before it would run at all?

THanks.

There is a rebuilding company in Jacksonville FL called National Carburetor. They do inexpensive rebuilds and have a lifetime warranty. Only problem is turnaround time. 904-636-9400. I have used them for my 2150, no complaints.

Please don't buy a re-man carb.
Especially the ones that say "Remanufactured by Holley".
Buying a new Holley or Edelbrock is fine.
The best thing to do if you don't want to rebuild it yourself is to take it to a shop that is knowledgeable in carburetor rebuilding. They'll do a much better job, for about the same price as buying a re-man.

I had mine rebuilt for $159 parts and labor. The best money I have spent.

Thanks for the responses and suggestions. I think I'll take to the local yellow pages now and see what I can find. Just for kicks, but anyone know a good a shop in Raleigh, NC that knows carbs?
Thanks again.
