What kind of hubs do they use? Is it a standard style? not a funky vacume setup of some kind?
Also what style of brakeline do they use?
Thanks

They have unit bearing hubs. I think you could order auto locking hubs or the standard manual locking.

Dont the early ones have regular full floating hubs, or is that only the TTB D50's?

If it came from a super duty, they have unit bearings, with manual locking hubs. Not vacuum disco or the like.

Not all of them. I bought one for $50 a couple years back because everything from the knuckles out is Dana 60 stuff. I needed a new spindle which is like $150 so the whole axle paid for itself right there. I sold the rest of the stuff and ended up a few hundred in the black.

They have unit bearings with manual or manual/auto hubs on them and Dana 44 gears and shafts inside with the beefiness of Dana 60 external stuff.

I'm sorry but I just got done saying not all Dana 50s have unit bearings. I specifically told how I bought one because I wanted the live spindle. You just have to check the years. Up until the early to mid 90s they all had live spindle setups.

No D50 has D44 gears. The D44 has a 8.5" ring gear, a D50 has a 9" ring gear. The shafts are the same (1.31" 30 spline).

I stand corrected, I had assumed that if they used the 44 sized shafts and joints then the gears were the same.
