View Full Version : Taking the bounce out, double shocks?

My suspension is really soft. After I hit a bump on the highway, it rides the wave for way too long. So...here's the problem...I really like the flex of these old springs, and I'd like to keep it. But, I also want to make it ride a little better on bumps at faster speeds. Right now, I have a 4" tough country lift in the front, 4" skyjacker springs with 2" blocks in the rear. RS5000 shocks at all four corners.

I'm thinking about doubling up the shocks, would this take the bounce out and not affect flexing performance? I know someone has done this...who is it and do you have any pics???

Thanks!!!

i would look at the adjustable damping shocks you turn the knobs and adjust the rebound ,that might be the way to go

yeah, no need for double shocks. just means you need some better ones. if you have a rusty's lift, the rusty's shocks suck for up front. RS5000's are a lot stiffer. Although some adjustableprocomp or ranchos would be best imho if you can afford em.
