Hey Guys,
I've been trying, without luck for the past 4 days to post progress pics and other items of interest, linking to the images in my imageshack account. Despite resizing (staying within size limits and KB size), renaming, etc..the "Manage Attachments" feature keeps returning "Invalid File" no matter what I try to embed, with the possible exception of perhaps the most "blindness inducing" tiny thumbnail jpeg.
Anybody else experiencing this?

Use Photobucket Chuck...much easier, flexible and makes awesome pics for our site.
Take a peruse through this post for a quick tutorial on how to do it...scroll down in the post and you'll see some good screenshots on how it works...

Rather then use the file attachment, just add the link into the thread itself, that might be your problem with imageshack....

i use tinypic.com, dont need an acount or anything, just click browse, find your pic, on the bottom where it says "default" put "message board", then click "upload", then itll show a few links click on the one that says "message boards etc", it will automatically copy the code, then just paste the code in your post and you have nice size pics

I also use Photobucket for hosting my photos
I use the direct link, which is the second one down on PB
then use the yellow icon that looks like a mountain
on the reply to thread.
Have you try Microsoft power toys Image resizer.
This PowerToy enables you to resize one or many image files with a
right-click. from in XP.
Its the tenth one down.
