under your hood to be more specific....i am looking for pictures of a correctly routed wiring for the late 70's FSJ's in the selnoid/alternator battery area......(78 preferabbly)...i need to get mine back goin again and have been doing research for the correct way to do it, but theres not a whole lot out there that i can find. (thanks to all that have helped so far though...thats how i have gotten to this point..) if anyone can use their pewter skills to draw it in a program that would work too...i have a haynes manual too, but even that doesnt seem to go along with what i have....thanks for any info! :D

Here's a shot of my passenger-side fenderwell:

And here is a shot of the passenger-side of my engine itself:

All the wiring from the firewall harness connector comes across the firewall, along the top of the passenger-side valve-cover, and then across to the fenderwell in front of the valve-cover. I have everything tie-wrapped in that plastic sheathing, so it isn't touching anything that might melt it.
The next picture is dark, but it shows the back of my alternator with the additional circuits bolted onto it (each is protected by a fusible-link). These wires run right into the plastic sheathing that passes right behind the battery. You can also see my 0-gauge negative battery-cable that bolts right to the front of the head:

This is on a '78, btw.

thanks for the pics...that helps...couple more questions though...
The next picture is dark, but it shows the back of my alternator with the additional circuits bolted onto it (each is protected by a fusible-link). what additional circuits are you talkin about? i have only one wire that bolts to the back of my aternator (small red wire) and the plug on the side if the alternator body...where do those need to go on mine and what do the fusible links connect to (opposite ends from the selinoid)..thanks!

I added a charging-circuit going right back to the (+) lug on the starter relay, to bypass the ammeter, and another circuit to feed my headlights through a relay activated by the dash-switch (you can kind of see the add-on fusebox in this picture):

Your stock setup would only have one wire in that position.
