I recently found a bargain on a NOS AMC T400 case that was rebuilt with some used guts from another unit along with a rebuilt kit. Well, it was for sale here on the board. Brian made a heckuva box to ship it in too. This and a new torque converter is my poor excuse for a anniversary gift to my Jeepstress. :o It will be bolted to a NOS QT this summer in the 77 Waggy I bought her for $100 as a wedding gift in 2000. :)

Flint:
If I knew you were giving it as a present I would have wrapped it. Glad to see it got there safely. Let me know how it runs.
Jayrodoh:
You take care of that Jeep someday I just might buy it back.

She might if she is still driving it! :D The original tranny works fine internally but has a buggared up tail shaft. I slipped a working 75 model tranny in it 3 years ago when we discovered the bad shaft and that one has been whining quite a bit on the cold mornings this past winter before it warms up. The Jeep only has 104K miles on it so I hope somethings last longer than that - - - 32 years or 104k, who knows though... ;)

Well I checked the rule book...torque converter and tranny do not fall into the "domestic appliance" category...this IS a VALID anniversary gift!!
