Been tripping over this since last summer when Pam and Allen dropped it off. Got tired of the damage to my shins and said screw it, gitterdun.
Holds the 33x12.50 spare just dandy and doesn't move around much offroad. the swing away gate has double greasable bearings and is very smooth.

It's nice and sturdy but not overly heavy (I'd say 125lbs tops) and well made by Alan. Very glad to have it on my Cherkokee :D

Nope, from the inside you only see the top 1/4 of it maybe. Sure beats having that huge hunk of rubber inside the jeep!

I like that it clears the underframe receiver hitch. That's bolted and welded to the frame and is perfect for sliding off rocks (AMHIK) at Moab :D
Now I need to get me a plastic NATO gas can to fit the box, standard metal red ones dont.

thats a nice looking bumper.

you know all you have to do to get the manual setup in there is just bolt it in, mine took me about an hour or two. no need to swap tailgates if you dont have to.

How did the frame mounts line up to your Jeep??? Since this was off of a Wagoneer I was sure hoping it would fit yours. I guess your ahead of me on this one as the traded parts are still in a box on my back porch and after doing one springover and axle flip I'm not sure I'm wanting to do another but will keep the parts just in case. You do realize I now have to build another one, that will be revision B, some small changes planned for the next one but overall it will be identical to yours. It looks great and I'm glad you are happy with it. The black looks good with your truck.

Thanks!!! yeah it lined up just fine, little juggling to get it started but it all lined up good when settled in. It lines up nice and even! Just sprayed it down with some walmart rubbercoating, need to redo it where I had to whack on it with the hammer. The 33"x12.50 tire juuuust fits on, I let some air out of it so it wasn't pressing so hard on the upright bar.
Lol, sad thing is I need that shackle flip kit now that I started on the J10. Not in a hurry either though, thing sure looked scary to install.
4" blocks+1" tad perches and stout ubolts should get it done (got the perches).
