OK, I have a nother problem with my freakin dash lights. When I first bought the truck, nothing on the dash would work, except for the speedo and th amp gauge. I replaced the temp/CVR and the fuel and oil started to work, along with the gauge lights, but now the when I turn the lights, the fuel gauge pegs either empty or full, the turn signal lights on the dash come on, they still blink when I use my signal, the high beam indicator comes on with the low, and goes off with the highs, and the gauge lights are very faint.
I replaced the light switch today, but that didn't help. All of this started about 4 days after I installed my cd player, but I don't know how it would mess up my dash since the only connection I have going to it is the constant hot is connected th one of the ammeter posts.
I would appreciate ALL ideas on how ti fix this extremely annoying problem.

Jake,
I'm sure this isn't much help, but I had some crazy problems like that in Subaru I used to own. I found that the PO had somehow wired the speakers wires into the wires coming from the headlight switche. I guess my point is don't elminate anything if you recently bought the truck. Good Luck.

JeepBob, I haven't checked the grounds, didn't think about'em actually.
JW, Thanks for the advice, but I've already eliminated the PO butchered wiring from inside and from under the truck.
