spline count 79 cher

need to know rear axle spline count on 79 cherokee w/t,i found a powerlock for 150.00 ,19spline i think,would be nice for my tow vehicle. is 150.00 a good price?

Unfortunately (for you in this case), the later D44's used a fine-spline axle (30 or 31-splines, I forget which), which would prevent you from using this carrier. :(

Bob is right.. you cannot use that carrier with your Dana 44.

What gear ratio is the power lock?

maybe 3.9:1 (12-47) is the more comun ratio for the powerlock whit 19 spindles but can carrie the 4.09 smile.gif

gear ratio is for 410 ,anyone interested call( gears are us )lou.k.y. at(502)933-3455 and he will ship powerlock dana 44 410gear ,this unit is used but is in excelent condition 150.00

i dont think $150 is such a great price for a powerlock anyway.you can buy a brand spankin new trac lok for as low as $169.
