OK guys I finally found a GW. My plans were to buy one and fly to pick it up and make a road trip back home. I live in Corpus Christi and the GW I bought is in Iowa. It's and 87 with 105K and very clean. It would make the road trip according to the guy I bought it from but that may not be an option for me for a while. I work for AT&T and it appears the union may go on stirke. If that happens I will have to work 72 hours week indefinately. The guy I bought it from says it's fine there until I can pick it up. It's been 2 days I am very impatient and I want it in my drive now! soooo...... I have some buddies who are willing to go get it but they are in no way mechanically inclined, which would be a plus driving a 23 year old vehicle cross country. I am seriously considering having it shipped. Any suggestions? Looking for reliable and cheap. Any help would be appreciated.

Shipping a vehicle and 'cheap' don't go together. You would be looking at about $1000.

I have shipped 2 vehicles and had 2 shipped. No issues at all.....went with the middle price each time. The F350 tow truck was my baby, sold it to a guy in Tenn. :( This cost $1200. I didnt think that was to bad considering...

Calculate the cost of gas, airfare, hotels, meals, not to mention the possibility of a breakdown, shipping doesn't look too bad. (I've shipped three cars in the past and after all was said and done, the price didn't bother me.)

Of coarse one thing to consider, if you fly to go buy, you can always back out if it's not as represented.
