I know this may sound like a dumb question but I have researched but haven't found exactly what I'm looking for so here goes. I have an 82 Cherokee WT. I want to run 35's on it but havent found the type of lift I'm wanting. I want a SOA in the front, get rid of the blocks in the rear, and not go over 2" body lift if any body at all. I have read of guys running the Chevy springs but am not sure what size and if I can run them front and rear. This will be mainly a trail rig, with the occasional cruize around town. I have the 258 motor with 727 trani and NP208 Tcase. It does have 3:31 gears with a D44 front and AMC rear. Thanks for the input

6" lift no body lift no SOA no blocks just spring you can get 35" tires

I recommend change your gear ratio with that engine and the tire size you wont be going up to many steep hills

If I did decide to do the SOA in the front what size of springs would I need to get to be able to have the vehicle level? I'm not sure exactly how much lift you get in the front with an SOA.

4" springs and an SOA are more then enough to run 35" you could almost run 38"

So with an SOA in the front I would need 4" springs in the front and 6" springs in the rear? just double-checking haha

Do a soa and a shackle flip in back level and best ride

SOA gives about 7" of lift. you can mix lift springs and blocks to level the back or install a shackle flip, BJ's offers a kit for this. i would recommend the shackle flip. better flex and ride. you could easily clear 35s or 36s.

For a WT to clear 35's, you need 6" of lift. You can do this with a bolt-on 6" lift kit (all spring), or with an SOA & rear shackle flip kit (nets around 6-7" of lift using the stock springs). Since this is going to be mainly a trail rig, if you can fab / weld, go with the SOA kit. Note that in addition to the SOA / rear Shackle Flip kit, you'll also need to buy longer shocks, extend your dshafts, longer brakelines and you'll need to go Crossover Steering (at a bare minimum) or full High-Steer, as a drop-pitman arm is incredibly unsafe with an SOA conversion. You'll get killer flex and a great ride height.

For the springs with an SOA, just re-use your stock FSJ springs once you do the SOA.
