The guy who I DIDN'T get the Wagoneer from emailed me this morning. I had asked him what he wanted for a Qtrac that he has. This is what he told me... the Qtrac, two NT front fenders, an NT front radiator support and the valance, roof rack, two rear Waggy doors, a rear window motor, some seat belts, "and some other stuff"... for $50.

I do feel quite lucky. Don't know exactly what to do with all of it. I need the window motor and the Qtrac... maybe the fenders. I'll go through all of it and see what folks might need. The man just wants to get out of the FSJ business... he has a J10 he's been restoring and has all that he needs. Unfortunately he wants to keep the front doors he has. I'm going to see if he has the floorpans from the donor 'cause I can use those too. I know he has the hood and hood bar too but don't know... he also has a boobie grill. I'll just have to see what all he wants to get rid of.

It's going to be harder to get the old one out of my truck... that'll be the drop it on me worry. The one I'll be pulling is just sitting in the open with the hump gone. I'll just have to deadlift it. It's a small price to pay for what I'm getting!!

I don't know yet if I'm getting the hood and the bar... I'll talk to him about it though. I may be back in the running for the Waggy, but he said he's going to give the guy some time. He's a strange old bird, but very honorable. I guess I should appreciate that.

I'm hoping to run over there after work tomorrow and pay him for what I've gotten and haul it all home, then I'll inventory it and let you guys know exactly what I came home with.

Years ago I drove up to Huntsville and picked up a 360 and some other goods for my 75 Cherokee I sold:banghead:. While I was up there I picked up a bunch of other stuff from this guy for the Cherokee. He had a lot of good deals, or at least better then what I found around these parts. It seems like Alabama has a lot of FSJ's and when I track the eBay auctions they seem to go fairly cheap. Right now on Craigslist there is a Wagoneer around Muscle Shoals for $1,200.00 and it sounds like a really good deal.
