Why do i have square healights in my round holes.. thats just plain silly....
Ok, i have square headlights and i want round ones so i can get a rhino grill (no i dont want to debate the beauty of a rhino grill) I tryed to put a pair of buckets out of joels 77 cherokee in mine, and it just dosent seam like they will ever fit no matter how many holes i drill... what do i need to do and what parts am i looking for? (bucket, retaining ring, whats the number for the headlight they take?)
You'll need the correct grill and have to add some mounting tabs (3 iirc) to make them look correct.
Pic below is a combo 85 valance, with 70 buckets and trim rings and a later 70's chero grill.
You can do it smile.gif

well, i dont want the grill... just the round healights, i want a rhino grill to go with the lift i'm buying this week :D cause they'll match, right..
(3 iirc) ??
I can get the trim rings on e-bay, i see a set for sale, and i also found the rhino and the vent cover thingies.. but beyond that, should i just fab the tabs? or is there something else i can use? i'd like it to be reversable incase i desided i dont like it in a couple years...
also, what headlights do i get?

that looks real nice by the way...
Round CJ headlight buckets and trim rings for the Rhino. Maybe a bit of wiring on you 80?
Tabs can be welded in, pop rivited or just scrwed in.
The trick is to take your time and make it look good, not perfect.

The smaller holes had fake covers on the Rhino setups. Some members have put lights in there too.
If I remember correctly, some have used older Buick lights and Mercedes lights, Not sure about any years on those.

But my grill's all cracked and it keeps getting worse... thats why i'm looking intp this instead, or even an older razor grill maybe, i really am begianing to dislike having a plastic grill, everytime i have to take it off or open the hood an lean in it gets worse... i want metal darnit, and i like round headlites! smile.gif its not going to be irreversable, i'll still have all the original parts...
tadsal- what would i have to wire? the chero headlight for earlyer years have the same plugs....

I'm pulling home a razor tomorrow, your rig is much too nice for this one I think.

I agree with Tadsal on the buckets. I have a rhino grill and I used CJ buckets and trim rings. You will have to drill and make new mounting tabs. Go with the CJ stuff. The trim ring fits correctly! Hey Tadsal Going to get the rear axle tomorrow. Will let you know when to come get yours. Maybe next weekend.
