Hi everybody,
I've been looking for new woodgrain (decal, not the trim) I only need it for a tailgate. I found one place that sells a complete set for like $600.00 but I don't need the whole set. Then I found this:

Anyone ever tried these guys out?
Thanx!

Try your local autobody shops some have the 3M kit laying around or they may just be able to order you that back section.
I going to have to do the same here very shortly after fixing some rust on my rear tailgate

Hi Annie
I work for 3M and have a few colleagues in the graphics division where we make the 3M woodgrain vinyl. I am working on getting some on hand for my rig. Right now, they only sell through a distributor. We (me and my buddies) think we may be able to get some remnants after each run and/or perform a weathering test with some material. The exact colors would depend on the run being made for the distributor most likely. I wonder if the crew at 3M would be interested in weathering results from California versus Minnesota. If you want to send me a PM, I can update you with the status of this experiment and see if they want to check out California weathering.
Cheers!
Jesse
There are some guys that sell it by the foot on ebay.
