Having trouble finding this in any auto part shops around. I have been advised to stay away from any hose not fuel rated.

Look for a hose supply place. Quick Google search, shows lots of places to look. (1" is more over the road, boat, industrial than auto)
As you say don't use any hose not rated for fuel usage, with ethonal being used more and more it does nasty things to rubber, so make sure it can take ethonal blends also.

I agree use only fuel rated hose look for Motion industries or applied technologys or any boat repair shops they have good stuff Marine grade but its pricey..

I think I have about 3' left over from doing the 78 Waggy...shoot me a pm with shipping addy and I'll go out to the garage and see if I can dig it back out
