Hey, I'm bolting in my Dana 60 front end in tomorrow, and I realized I had to flip the spring centering pins since the axle will be on the other side of the spring. Any helfpul ideas that'll save me some time? Thanks a lot in advance.

Find lots of clamps?
Replace them if they are crappy?
GOOD LUCK!
Daniel
Take a large C-clamp and cinch it down near the centering pin...otherwise they'll pop when you have about a thread left. Hopefully your engine leaks as much as most so they've been lubed for years smile.gif Vise Grips on the round end and a box and or socket on the nut...should be all ya need!
Oh yeah....if they're too boogered up, NAPA sells new pins...
Personally i would replace them no matter what. Since the SOA is gonna put more force on them anyways, why use 25yr old bolts on something like that, there not that expensive.
If you can get them to unscrew, you can chisel the nut off.

4wheel parts sells grade 8 centering pins I think. I believe when I put new spring packs together, I will replace the pins with the grade 8 ones.
Anyone know the size off the top of their head?
Thanks,
Good Luck Will!

All the ideas above are great... C Clamps work great... before you buy new centering pins.... measure yours... they come in different diameters

Thanks guys for all your help. I'm going to go try to remove them now. We'll see how lucky I am and how long my patience lasts.
