My recently rebuilt '78 401 has part # 3231475 heads .
Would anyone know if those are the heads supplied with that block originally . Also will they support rollers or need machining .
Thanks
Both 401's that have passed thru my hands have had 475-1 and 475-2 heads. One had one of each...
They will need machining and pushrod guides to accept roller rockers, unless you spend the extra money for the shaft mounts...

Thanks for that info , Kris .
One more question , Would you know who offers the roller rockers that don't require machining the head .

The 3231475 Heads have bridged rockers and came on 78 rigs.
Harland Sharp.
These were the ones I was thinking of, but they are showing as not available now.

They arent listed on Harland Sharps website now either... Hmmm...
Give them a call and let us know what you find.
