Being new to FSJ's and not really the guy who can identify any vehical by sight...Is there a place that has information for Jeep by year, type, differances of types and the factory options available for the year, type...

Like I have a 1977 Cherokee Wagoneer...What makes it a Cherokee, why not just a Jeep wagoneer...

There are "s" models, grand, super, and seems many more...I want to know more about the identifying comments about that certain vehical

OK wierd, but it bothers me not knowing, one of those kinds I guess...

in 1977 jeep offered the cj5/7 , j10/20 , cherokee , and the wagoneer. there was no such thing as a cherokee wagoneer. it either was a cherokee or a wagoneer.

the cherokee was a sporty version of a base wagoneer. originally the cherokee came only in 2 door and where narrow track. in late 75 the wide track cherokee debuted and most people erroniously call all of them chiefs. in 77 jeep released the 4 door cherokee which was a more or less a wagoneer without the options. after 77 jeep added/deleted options and updated certain things until 83 when amc killed the full size cherokee.

post a pic of your jeep or the vin, then we can tell you what it is.

I too am new to the Cherokee FSJ scene and it is a bit odd that there isnt more stock visual info. out there... for what ever its worth, I think your where its at as far as FSJ knowledge. Now youve got to figure out how to extract it. Ive been digging around for sometime now, with patients and a few well worded questions you will get the answers your looking for. Seek and learn young Luke, and be one with the FSJ force. It sounded good in my head:confused:
