Spring rub pads

What materials/methods are available for replacing the teflon(?) rub strips that fit between the individual spring leaves?

Does anyone make replacements or is it just as easy to pick up some stock sheet and make your own? What's the original material and has anyone used an alternate like nylon?

When I cleaned up my leaf packs when installing AAL's, I got replacement friction pads from http://www.espo.com/.

You won't find them in the on-line catalog but just give them a call.
